He is survived by: his wife Patricia Murphree (Perry); his children, Lauren Bryan, Elaine Shelton (Brent) and John Murphree (Emily); his grandchildren, Emma, Ellie, Linden Bryan, Jacob, Maggie, Norah Shelton, Evie and Audrey Murphree; his sister Brenda Smith (Ken); his niece Tammy Smith; and his nephew Stephen Smith.
