It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sam O. Short (Gardendale, Alabama), who passed away on October 27, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Short; his mother Lessie Short; his stepfather J. D. Short; and his brothers, Bobby and Billy Short.
He is survived by: his sons, David Short (Nancy), Larry Short (Susan) and Rex Short; his grandchildren, Andy Short (Susan), Allison Mann (Scott), Paige, Samuel Short and Laura Whitaker; his great grandchildren, Riley, Emory Mann, Sandlin and Griffin Short; and his close friend Anne Langner.
