She was predeceased by: her parents, John B. Gray, Sr. and Lilly Mae Stewart Gray; her husband James H. Heinl, Sr.; and her siblings, Marie Freeman, Bertie Perdue, Mary Perdue, John B. Gray, Jr. and Donald O. Gray.
She is survived by: her children, James Heinl, Jr. (Sharon) and Kris Bryant (Melvin); her brother Jerry Gray; her grandchildren, Brittany Chandler (Jared) and Haleigh Dotman (Lance); and her great grandchildren, Londyn, Holland, Dallas Chandler, Lilly Grace and James Michael Dotman. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
