He was predeceased by : his parents, Taylor E. McIlwain and Thedis Lee McIlwain. He is survived by : his wife Betty Ann McIlwain of Barrytown, AL; his sons, Tim McIlwain (Judi) of Gilbertown, AL and Richie McIlwain (Lee) of Barrytown, AL; his brother Windle McIlwain (Becky) of Barrytown, AL; and his grandchildren, Cara McIlwain Roberts (Landrum), Andrew McIlwain and Taylor McIlwain.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Branch Church of God in care of Russell Sikes 15212 HWY 17, Gilbertown, AL 36908.
