She was predeceased by : her husband Lemuel Gus Fikes of Fike's Trucking; her son Robert Dewayne Fikes; her parents, Joseph Pate and Mary Taylor; and her siblings, Peggy Walker, Mickey Pate and Rusty Simmons.
She is survived by : her daughter Mary "Sissy" Compton (Lee); her siblings, Betty Smith (Henry) of Moundville and Joe Pate (Lisa) of Monroeville; and her grandchildren, Ashley Clary (Ryan), Cleo Valdez (Fito) and Chase Compton (Alise). She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to New Haven Baptist Church or Greensboro Baptist Youth Group.
