With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jimmie Allen Carter of Greensboro, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 25, 2025 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Carter and Elsie Carter; his daughter Patty Galloway; and his siblings, George Carter Jr., Frank Carter, David Carter, Ellis Carter, Lawrence Carter, Dewayne Hobson, Elouise Moore, Clarence Moore and Robert Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Colburn Carter; his children, Joey Carter (SaLeta) and Vicky Carter; his grandchildren, Mitch Galloway (Anna), Lacey Flowers (Ryan), Jake Carter (Georgia), Hope Galloway and Jeremy Carter (Shelby); his great grandchildren, Jack Galloway, Charleigh, Carter, Clyde Flowers, Zavion Maddix, Jason Carter, Braxytn Carter and Cameron Edwards; his sisters, Louise Reach and Jeanette Crocker; his close friends, Toby Watkins, Les Averette, Keith Averette, Thomas Averette, Gary Donner and David Pierce; and also, Lou, Floyd Marchant, Terri Jones, Daryl Fondren, Rita Dunn, David Fondren, Dave Hobson, Allen Hobson and Nancy Hobson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lake Payne Church of God. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
