He is survived by : his wife Betty Salter Branum; his sons, William "Bill" Branum and Barry Branum; his sister Judy B. Griswold of Troy, AL; and his sisters-in-law, Jane Branum of Lauderdale, MS and Bonnie S. Morris of Milton, FL. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins and family, and many, many friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (218 AL-106, Georgiana, AL 36033). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Spring Hill Baptist Church, St. Jud's Children's Hospital, or Shiner's Hospital for Children.
