She was predeceased by: her parents, William Zed Gafford Sr. and Emma Lee McIntyre Gafford of Greenville, Alabama.; her husband Carl Wayne Duke; her brother William Zed Gafford Jr.; and her son-in-law Warren Ronald Shaver.
She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Shaver and Lori Jordan (Chris); her sister Helen Russell (Melvin); her grandchildren, Gaston Bozeman, Kelsey Woodard and Kinley Woodard; and her stepgrandchildren, Kristian Jordan and Taylor Jordan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Walnut Street Church of Christ (306 Walnut St, Greenville, AL 36037). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Alternatively, donations may be made in Evelyn's memory to Country Place Senior Living in Greenville, Alabama, with contributions directed specifically toward resident activities.
