It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Lewis Powell of Grove Hill, Alabama, who passed away on June 24, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his daughters, Audrey Ann McKinley and Debra Faye Courtney; his grandson Brandon Courtney; and his siblings, John Henry Powell, William Ray "Bill" Powell, Leroy Powell, Aleen Brewer, Lillie Mae Boswell and Ula Ve Boswell.
He is survived by : his wife June Pugh Powell; his sons, Don Faile (Sharon) and Jimmy "Bo" Powell (Cindy); and his sisters, Annie Jo Leverett and Virgie Sellers. He is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
