It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Cloie A Powell of Haleyville, Alabama, who passed away on May 12, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford McDonald (Mary Magdalene Osborn McDonald) and Adison; her brother Purvis McDonald; her stepchildren, Ima Jean Ray Hardin and Willie Joe Ray; and her grandson Danny Pinkard.
She is survived by: her husband Odis Powell; her sons, Gary Pinkard, James Garland Ray of Haleyville, Darryal Ray of Fairhope and David Randal Ray (Brenda) of Daphne; and her stepchildren, Norma Jean Wren of Cullman, Carol Hayes (Bill), Cindy Tilley (Max), Donna Schmale (Craig) and Allen Powell. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren; and a large number of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which had done so much for her late grandson, Danny Pinkard.
