We are sad to announce that on July 20, 2025, at the age of 73, Mickie Duel Norris of Haleyville, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Mickie Duel may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mickie Duel touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his father James Duel Norris; his stepmother Irene Norris; and his sister Kathleen Stehley. He is survived by: his mother Dora Sue Hopson; his wife Joann Norris; his sons, Mickie Norris, Jr., James Norris and Timothy Norris (Amie); and his siblings, Rick Hopson, Paul Hopson, Joey Hopson, David Norris and Victoria Norris. He is also survived by five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
