She was predeceased by : her parent Nina Irene Sims. She is survived by : her husband Jeff Benefield; and her brothers, Bruce Bilaskurski (Kelly) and Tom Heuring (Vera). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Nichols Funeral Home - Haleyville (1607 11th Ave, Haleyville, AL 35565). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 at the New Hope Cemetery.
