She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Jones and Lavada Burton Jones; her husband Obie McCarley; her daughter Geneva McCarley; her granddaughter Carly Avery; and her siblings, Sam Jones, Earnest Jones, Estelle Weaver and Carrie Crow.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ginger Avery (Dwayne) and Gloria Armstrong (Larry); her sister Alpha Valdrow; her grandchildren, Devon Avery, Kayla Merry (Justin), Hannah Cole and Heath Cole; and her great grandchildren, Jalen, Cohen, Aria and Makaiah Merry. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
