She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Hicks and Iola Shanks Hicks; and her husband Tom Burleson. She is survived by: her sons, Mike Burleson and Tim Burleson; and her close friend Lisa Bishop. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moss-Service Funeral Home (1901 2nd Ave NW, Cullman, AL 35055). The lying in state will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Andrew's Global Methodist Church (615 Main Ave SW, Cullman, AL 35055). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at the Cullman City Cemetery (812 9th Ave SW, Cullman, AL 35055).
