He was predeceased by: his parents, William Oscar "Ott" Ponder and Josephina "Josie" Brock Ponder; his wife Sherry Ponder; and his siblings, Nell Ponder, Doris Ponder Jones, Maudean "Dean" Ponder McNutt, Rachel Ponder Steele, Doyle J. Ponder, Jasper Floyd "Bud" Ponder, Dempsey Ponder and Kenneth Ponder. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Ebenezer Cemetery.
