He is survived by : his children, Cathy Peinhardt of Gearhart, Mary Jo (Richard Lakin), Bill (Julie Peinhardt), Cindy (Robert Gonstad), Chris (Thomas Gropp) and Amy (Bill Harley); and his grandchildren, Patrick Wisener of Cullman, Andrew Wisener of Hanceville, Ryan Peinhardt (Jasmine) of Raleigh, Matthew Peinhardt of Seaside, Oregon, Beth Gonstad Stevens (Matthew) of Madison, Kate Gonstad Esteves (Frank) of Harvest, Katherine Peinhardt of Freiburg, Germany, Christopher Peinhardt of Savannah, Georgia, Max Harley of Greenville and Grant Harley of Clemson.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Christ Lutheran Church (424 2nd Ave SE, Cullman, AL 35055). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Christ Lutheran Church (PO Box 974, Cullman, AL 35056) or the Peinhardt Living History Farm (PO Box 1938, Cullman, AL 35056).
