He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Carroll and Pearlie Peterson Carroll; his siblings, James Earl Carroll, Bernell Hundley Smith, Ethel Carroll and Gladys Carroll; his spouses, Shirley Carroll, Polly Carroll and Margaret Corley Carroll; and his son Jerry Carroll.
He is survived by: his children, Lamar Carroll (Faye), Ricky Carroll (Theresa), Cindy Battles (Aubrey), Mark Carroll, Wicksburg and Donna Potter (Richard); and his brother Charles Carroll (Earlene). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
