With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ernest Dale Smith of Hartford, Alabama, born in Fort Benning, Georgia, who passed away on January 15, 2021 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carolyn Adamson Smith and Edward Eugene "Gene" Smith; his daughter Sara Claire Smith; and his siblings, Lynn Smith Walters, Wanda Smith Lamb and Gregory Eugene Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Machellda King Smith; his children, Terri Smith Reeves (Daniel), Daniel Smith, Joshua Smith and Jalen Smith; his grandchildren, Marleis Gillen, Makayla Smith, Alyssa Smith, Mariah Smith, Tyler Reeves, Colby Reeves, Elaina Smith, Garrison Smith and Nalayah Smith; his great grandchild Waylon Waterson; and his sister Lisa James. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Malvern New Life Church Building Fund, 170 New Life Rd. Slocomb, AL 36375 Mr. Smith was born October 14, 1961 in Fort Benning, GA to the late Carolyn Adamson Smith and Edward Eugene "Gene" Smith.
