He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert M. Betterton, Sr. and Lola Mae English Betterton; and his brother Hubert M. Betterton, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Freida Vest Betterton; his children, Andrew Betterton (Sandra), William H. Betterton (Daphne), Ocean Springs and Jan G. Betterton; his grandchildren, Jacob Betterton (Katie), Jane Nuby (Chris), Jonathan Betterton, Joseph Betterton, Samantha Bignell (Joe), Ocean Springs and Alison Darby; his great grandchildren, Jackson Betterton of Madison, AL, Joyanna Betterton, Garyn Singleton-Olmstead, Madison Bignell, Carson, Connor, Cole Darby and Alice Nuby; and his brother Joe Betterton (Virginia). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
