He was predeceased by: his parents, Talmadge William Whatley and Eunice Eudora Hulsey Whatley; his sister Macklen W. Cummings; his grandmother W. Carlson; and his brother Bobby Ray Whatley.
He is survived by: his wife Annie Clyde Faulkner Whatley; his children, Billy Todd Whatley (Patty) and Tamra Whatley Medders (Randy); his grandchildren, Daniel Whatley (Amy), Kelly W. Aldridge (Brett), Patrick Whatley (Katie) and Clayton Whatley (Michelle); his great grandchildren, William Whatley Jr., Andrew Whatley, June Whatley, Jacob Whatley, Kate Aldridge, Luke Aldridge, Benjamin Aldridge, Anna Aldridge, Therese Whatley, Zelie Whatley and Lucy Whatley; and his brother-in-law Paul Ray.
