He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Francis Vandergrift, Sr. and Catherine Crawley Vandergrift. He is survived by: his wife Judy Murphree Vandergrift; his sons, Greg Vandergrift (Shannon) and Scott Vandergrift; his stepdaughters, Kim Parris (Steve) and Kelly Wade (Michael); and his siblings, Jerry Vandergrift (Mary), Mark McKniff, Billie Mitro and Kathy Iannusi (John).
