He was predeceased by: his fathers, Arthur Eudessa Gillott and John Wesley Gillott. He is survived by: his wife Levonia Freeman Gillott; his children, James "Dickie" Gillott (Frances), Rod Gillott and Holly Gillott Little (Hank); his siblings, Charles Gillott, Don Gillott, Dee Frisby and Charsley Ellis; his grandchildren, Meagan Weldon, Erin Wright, Hannah Charest, Haylee Newton and Hayden Little; and his great grandchildren, Novalee Burch, Dash Weldon and Ada Burch.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to The Gideon's International.
