He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley Hargrove and Sallie Augusta Bohanan Hargrove; and his son David Joe Hargrove, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Angela Sullivan Hargrove; his daughter Frances Hargrove Angela "Elizabeth" Hargrove; his daughter-in-law Jessica Overton Hargrove; his siblings, Bobby Lee Hargrove (Della) and Brenda Williamson (Raymond); and his grandchildren, Dylan Blaine Hargrove and Jacklyn "Skye" Hargrove.
