He is survived by: his sons, Virgil Vest (Jane), Earl Vest (Debbie) and Ray Vest (Michelle); and his grandchildren, Gary Vest (Penny), Kay Hanline (Michael), Alan Lacy (Amy), Jeremy Lacy (Cary), Chris Lacy, Slayton Vest (Chelsea), Jill Bibb (Michael), Janice Alvis (Jordan), Shabree King (Jonathan) and Eric Vest Eighteen.
