He is survived by: his wife Joyce Slaten; his sons, Jeff Slaten and Tim Slaten (Debra); his stepson Danny J. Brewer; and his sisters, Eleanor Crume, Shirley Rabens and Violet Blackburn. He is also survived by Five Grandchildren.
