She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, James McMath "Max" Baker and Texie Rodgers Baker of Missouri; her husband William James Thompson; her stepson Harold Thompson; her daughter Melissa Parker of Hartselle; her stepchildren, Kenneth Thompson (Jean) of Hartselle, Rachel Evans (Jacky) of Hartselle and Mildred Hogue of Hartselle; and her grandchildren, Max Parker and Natalie Parker-McDaniel. She was also cherished by step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
