He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve L. Shelton and Mary Altha Yarbrough Shelton; and his siblings, Arvin Shelton, Arnold Shelton, Gilbert Shelton, John Shelton, Paul Shelton, Louie Shelton, Tommy Shelton, Floyd Shelton, Macy Denton, Opal Denton, Mary Adams, Gladys Stewart and Georgia Shelton.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Ann Thompson Shelton; his children, David Glenn Shelton (Donna) and Melissa Shelton Griffin (Tran); and his brother Asa Shelton.
