He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel D. McAbee and Mary Magdalen Jenkins McAbee; and his sisters, Francis Johnson and Nina Wallace. He is survived by: his children, Tara McAbee of Hartselle, AL. and Rodney McAbee (Pam); and his brothers, Joe Marion McAbee (Linda Carolyn), Dewayne McAbee (Elene) and John Allen McAbee (Valarie).
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Lupus Foundation in his memory.
