James Russell Finch Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Russell Finch Sr. of Hartselle, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 30, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, James Russell shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid James Russell farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Olin Finch and Maggie Stanford Finch; his brothers, Jack Finch and Flavious Finch; his daughters, Sarah Elizabeth Finch and Tracey Finch Smith; and his sisters, Marie Finch Hamilton and Jean Finch.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Lee Pratt Finch of Hartselle, AL; his children, James Russell Finch, Jr. of Old Hickory, TN and Katherine Finch Byrd; and his sister Janice Finch Stewart (Brent Smith) of Birmingham, AL. He is also survived by Six Grandchildren, and, One Great Grandchild.
