He was predeceased by: his sister Debbie Whitt. He is survived by: his brothers, Bobby Newman and Ben; his son Garrett Roberts of Hartselle; his brother Keith Roberts (Tammi) of Decatur; and his nephew Adam Roberts of Decatur.
