He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Luther "Dink" Sanders and Carmon Nelson Sanders; and his sister Joyce Sanders Drake. He is survived by: his wife Annie Ree Pridmore Sanders; his children, Joe Russell Sanders (Christina) and Janet Sanders Kitchens (Randy); his grandchildren, Julie Ann Carpenter (Frank) and Drew Terrell; his great grandchildren, Cohen Terrell, Luke Carpenter and Annie Grace Carpenter; and his brother Ray Sanders (Betty).
