He is survived by: his wife Sarah Shadrix Howard; his children, Larry Stephen Howard of Huntsville, Gary Howard of Birmingham, Loyd Wayne Howard (Gail) of Hartselle, Joan Stone (Dale) of Cherokee and Tammy Tallent (Clay) of Huntsville; and his sister Martha Stephenson of Hartselle. He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren and 8 Great-great-grandchildren.
