He was predeceased by: his parents, John Willard Welborn and Violene Walker Keeling; and his brother Larry Joe Keeling. He is survived by: his wife Diane Welborn of Hartselle; his children, Casey Welborn of Trinity and Nicki Bice (Jami Wilbanks) of Hartselle, AL; and his brothers, Sandy Welborn (Danny Welborn) of Falkville, AL and Cullman. He is also survived by Five Grandchildren.
