She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon G. Carroll and Ruth Arminda Cornelius Carroll; her husband William Steele; her brothers, Garlan Carroll and Grover Carroll; and her daughter-in-law Anita Steele.
She is survived by: her sons, Wendell Steele and Bill Steele (Charlotte); her sister Betty Leathers; her grandchildren, Nathan Steele, Elizabeth Steele, Thomas Steele, Kelly Steele and Karen Dollar (Jacob); and her great grandchildren, Caiden Barfield, Caleb Barfield and Preston Spano.
