He was predeceased by: his father David Elmo Thigpen; and his brother Wayne Thigpen. He is survived by: his mother Mary Pratt Phillips; his daughters, Kimberly Hargrove (Daniel), Christy Terry (Chris) and Tracey Speakman (Josh); and his siblings, Gary Thigpen, Karen Sharp, Tewana Thigpen and Sherry Thigpen.
