She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Kirkland and Hilda Inez Tice Kirkland; and her brother James Hubert Kirkland. She is survived by: her husband Robert Lee "Bob" Meis; her sons, Jonathan Meis (Laci) of Valdosta, GA and Jason Meis; her stepsons, Robert Horton and David Horton (Kristi); her brother Larry Kirkland (Patricia); her grandchildren, Kaylee Meis and Oliver Meis; and her sibling's children, Hillary Kirkland and Frank Kirkland (Tawnya).
