It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen Byron McGriff of Helena, Alabama, born in Tallahassee, Florida, who passed away on July 31, 2021, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Larry Eugene McGriff; his aunt Barbara Woods; and his sister-in-law Donna Galloway. He is survived by: his mother Patricia Ann McGriff; his wife Jan Galloway McGriff; his son Blake McGriff; his sister Sherri McGriff Hodges (William); his uncle Donald McGriff (Bonnie); his aunt Virginia Booth (Don); and his brother-in-law Brian Galloway. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation honors the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001.
