It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Ralph Whitley (Higdon, Alabama), who passed away on December 19, 2018, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ralph Emerson and Jessie Alma Whetzell Whitley (Donna Whitley); his daughter Brenda Lee Whitley; and his former wife Gladys Hunt. He is survived by: his children, Charlotte Mitchell, Theresa Adams, Bonnie Gentry, Belinda Anderson (Johnny), Becky Simmons (Scott), Don Whitley, Billy Whitley (Tura) and Brian Whitley (Toni); and his siblings, Joe Whitley (Jackie), Carol Sharpton (Wendell), Glen Whitley (Francis), Douglas Whitley, Calvin Whitley (Betty), Charles Whitley, Helen Townsend (Steve), Stanley Whitley (Lisa) and Marlene Buff (Michael). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 17 1/2 Great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter.
