She was predeceased by : her husband Barna Lane Smith; her son Thomas Marion Smith (Tommy); her parents, Marion Parks and Willie Mae Satterfield; and her siblings, Marion Maurice Satterfield (Ted) and Carol Annette Satterfield.

She is survived by : her daughters, Betty Smith and Patti Anderson (James); her grandchildren, Jonathon Barrett and Jorel Barrett (Julie); her great grandchildren, Jonathon Barrett, Kortney Barrett and Isaiah Barrett; and her brother James Allen Satterfield.

Her love and devotion to her family has been their foundation.
