He is survived by: his wife Judy Brookes; his daughters, Lori Brookes of Hokes Bluff, AL, Mary Alford (T. J.) of Hokes Bluff, AL and Jill Brookes of Hokes Bluff, AL; and his siblings, Marie Downer (Bill) of Carrollton, GA and John Brookes (Carol) of Marietta, GA. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Mr. Brookes's honor to the Gadsden-Etowah Habitat for Humanity.
