She was predeceased by: her husband T. W. Smith; her parents, John Reaves and Lizzie Reaves; her siblings, Becky Reaves Vinson and Stacy Reaves; and her sisters-in-law, Sara Reaves, Jeanette Smith Landers (Howard), Nina Smith Cassidy and Betty Smith Reed (Milton).
She is survived by: her daughters, Nancy Smith Barton and Kathy Smith Sherrill (Pat Sherrill); her grandchildren, Michael Barton (Natalie), Matthew Barton (Morgan) and Kristin Barton; her great grandchildren, Sheppard, Faith and Judson Barton; her brother Ralph Reaves; her sister-in-law Georgia Reaves of High Point; and her sibling's children, Jamie Daniels and Kerry Reaves. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
