He is survived by : his wife Betty Wilson Fort of Glencoe; his children, Betty Carol Román of Cary, NC and William Hall Fort, Jr. (Jo Ann) of Glencoe; and his grandchildren, J. J. Chambers of Raleigh, NC, Jennifer Wendlandt (Morgan) of Fuquay Varina, NC, Ashley Groover (Jason) of Tampa, FL and Audrey Fort of Glencoe.
