She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin George Hamilton and Ola Mae Pointer Defnall; her husband Hobert Claude McGinnis; her siblings, Albert Defnall, George Defnall, Earnest Defnall, Velma Defnall Riffle, Lois Defnall Beasley and Fred Defnall; her grandsons, Jason Dean McGinnis and David "Richard" Roberson, Jr.; and her close friend Delma Austin.
She is survived by: her children, Rodney (Melody McGinnis), Andy (Darlene McGinnis), Linda (Wayne Trucks) and Janey (Wade Grimes); her grandchildren, Tommy, Tami, Todd, Andreas, Lindsey, Megan, Judd and Jana; and her brother Jimmy Defnall.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Holly Pond Cemetery (Co Rd 1669, Holly Pond, AL).
