He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Vines and Pernie Vines; and his daughter Shea Vines Headley. He is survived by: his son Latt Carlson Vines (Amina); his sisters, Mary Ellen Vines and Kay Vines Huey (D. L.); his grandchildren, Carmen Alexis Newsome (Ethan) and Kaci Rain Love; and his close friend James Bishop. He is also survived by niece and nephew and several cousins.
