He was predeceased by: his son Joseph Mark Goode; his parents, Vera Drake and Rev. M. M. Goode; his stepmother Frances Goode; and his siblings, Iris Colwell, Merillene Canavero and Donald M. Goode.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Goode; his children, Matthew M. Goode (Nicole) and Jo Ann Greer (Bill); his daughter-in-law Dr. Stacy Goode; his grandsons, Christopher D. Greer, Kevin D. Greer (Linzi), Joel D. Goode and Nathan J. Goode; his great grandchildren, Kayleigh Greer and Kaden Greer; and his siblings, Dr. Earl Goode (Larinda), Gilbert Drake, Larry Drake, Dr. David Hayes (Jessica) and Betty Ann Jones. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to North Highlands Baptist Church 4851 15th Street Road, Hueytown, AL 35023.
