She was predeceased by: her grandson Christopher Knighten; and her brother Dickie Rosa. She is survived by: her husband Ernest Carden, Jr.; her children, Rick Carden (Alice), Sherry Knighten (Mike) and Lottie Eldridge; her grandchildren, Ashley, Brandy, Cody, Amanda, Amy, Joseph and Sherea; and her great grandchildren, Landyn, Aidyn, Khloe and Kylie.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Children's Hospital, Birmingham, AL.
