He is survived by: his sons, Gregory and Shabaka; his sister Rosetta Jackson of St. Louis, MO; his daughter-in-law Daphne Gowens Fields; his grandchildren, Briannah Ameera Jewel Pena of Austin, TX, Jordan Kyle Gregory Fields of Las Cruces, NM and Joseph Jerome Brazelton of Huntsville, AL; and his great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Jariah and Briella Brazelton.
