He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Hafner II and Emma Holston; his sisters, Emma Lee Donaldson, Ethel Hafner, Mamie Hafner, Dorothy Sides and Alexena Cameron; and his son Alex Hafner Jr. (Mary Ruth Hafner).
He is survived by: his son Jay Hafner; his daughter-in-law Diane; his granddaughters, Crystal Marie Hafner, Jessica Lea Teal, Leslie Ann Cutler (Anna Kaitlin Hafner) and Grandaddy; his great grandchildren, Summer, Kiah, Blake, Tessa, Emily and Damien; his great great grandchild Jaxon; and his niece Charlotte Dutton of Birmingham.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sherwood Baptist Church.
