He is survived by: his son Alexander Martin Cathey Jr.; his daughter-in-law Stephanie; his daughter Lauren Elizabeth Cathey Cloar; his grandchildren, Alexander Martin Cathey III, Maddox George Cathey, Murphie Faye Cloar and McKenzie Lynn Cloar; his niece Xan Pollard Curran (Tim); his close friend Judith Baker; and his pet Caroline.
