He was predeceased by: his former spouse Ann King Davis; his parents, Lonnie Davis and Edith Davis Posey; and his sister Mary Grace Morris. He is survived by: his spouse Telse Platt Davis; his sister Edith Ann Barber; his children, Bill and Jean; his stepchildren, James Platt and Kirsten Duffy (Jerry); his stepgrandchildren, Laura Duffy and Brian Duffy; and his stepgreat-grandson Will Hollon. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of North Alabama or to the William Lonnie Davis Endowed Scholarship at the University North Alabama.
